Hello friends, fans and family!
In January 2020, I started production on my debut record, Loose Cannon. After some unexpected turns, a pesky little pandemic, and several thousand dollars spent, we released that baby into the world in February 2021 and it more or less changed my life. Songs I'd left sitting on a shelf for years were shared with all of you, and since then they’ve been streamed over 1 million times (!!!) across all streaming platforms. Loose Cannon was featured on Holler Country, Rolling Stone Country, The Bluegrass Situation, and named Album of the Year by Ear to the Ground Music. Not bad for my first rodeo!
Over the last two years, I’ve been hard at work touring and showcasing my songs wherever I can. I’ve toured on both coasts and extensively through the MidAtlantic. I was a finalist at the NewSong Competition in Asheville, NC and won a free run of Loose Cannon on vinyl, the sales of which covered the startup costs for this next project. And I just returned from the Kerrville Folk Festival where I was named a winner in their NewFolk Competition in Kerrville, Texas.
Loose Cannon changed the trajectory of my life. it gave me purpose and motivation during a time when i felt incredibly lost. Now I have a new batch of songs to share; my best and most focused work to date.
We’ve already had a ton of lucky breaks on this go ‘round. Mike Robinson, my work-wife and creative collaborator has agreed to come back on as producer and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire, and we have already tracked the beds at the legendary Dreamland Studios in Ulster County, New York with absolute sweeties and brilliant musicians Dave Speranza and Connor Parks. In two and a half short days, we tracked ten brand new songs that I can’t wait to share with you.
